Stuff That Really Irritates Me!

This time it's those absolutely irritating TV commercials. Most of the commercials I can tolerate, but when they insult my intelligence, that's too much!

Take that commercial for Total cereal. Do they think that we are only going to eat a bowl of cereal all day? They seem to insist that we need to eat umpteen bowls of any other cereal to get all the vitamins and minerals we need for the entire day. Don't they know that there are vitamins and minerals in vegetables and fruits? Most of us do eat more than one meal a day!

I remember a commercial for coffee back in the eighties. I am sure it was a regional thing because it was for a brand of coffee called Louisiane. This one really insulted your intelligence. They said and I quote, 'There is more coffee in a pound of Louisiane than in any other brand'. Now maybe they could brew more because it was so strong you couldn't use as much in a pot of coffee, but as far as I know a pound is a pound of anything!

And all those nauseous commercials for pharmaceuticals really turn me off! Ask your doctor! I would hope my doctor would already know if I need any of this way too expensive drugs! And from the list of side effects they read off, the cure may be worse than the disease! I still think if they didn't spend so much money on commercials the price of the product wouldn't be so high and maybe people wouldn't have to choose between food or drugs.
