Joining a Yahoo Group; the Comments Section
Why would you think putting 'Hi' in the comments section tells the group owner why you want to join? Do you think this will tell the owner anything about yourself? (It does actually; it tells the owner you are 'a spammer', too lazy to write anything else or your language for the group is minimal. At least write a phrase to say you want to learn about your computer. If your command of English is not capable of that, then the group will be of little use to you.)
The same is true for those folks who want to join and put in one word, like 'thanks'. Thanks for what? Guessing in advance that this is going to get them approved for membership? (It won't get my approval.)
And what about those jerks that think garbage text like 'hgfhgfhgf' is going to do the trick! (Not in my group!)
Then there are the really lazy folks that copy and paste the line above the comment section "Tell the owner why you want to join". Sigh! This won't get you approved for my group either! (I think maybe a possible troll might do this.)
Yahoo doesn't recognize the words typed into the comment sect and many folks know this. However, the owners do recognize the words, so if you really want to join, then tell the owner the real reason so you will be approved.
