Q. Where should I put my folders in Outlook Express?

A. All Folders in Outlook Express should be stored in Local Folders. NOT the Inbox!

Q. Sometimes when I open an email message, the word 'Blank' is at the very beginning. What causes that and how can I stop it?

A. This is usually caused by a poster to a Yahoo Group ( or another list) that is using HTML mail. Most Yahoo Groups or lists are set to text only for security reasons and to speed up the down loading of messages. If the HTML user has stationery or even a colored background, the word 'Blank' will sometimes appear in messages from the poster. It could also be caused by a corrupted stationery file.  The sender is the only one that can correct the 'Blank' from appearing in your email.

Q. How do I create an "away from the office" automatic reply?

A. Unless you have your computer on all the time, this is not recommended. Normally this is for business sites, but there may be some exceptions.  If you need to use an automatic reply, the instructions can be found on About.com's site.

Q. All the e-mails in my inbox box come with a paperclip, and there’s nothing attached. What is causing this?

A. The most common cause of this problem is your anti-virus program. If you have your anti-virus program configured to automatically scan incoming emails, it may be saving the results of the scan as an attachment. To see how to 'fix' this, go to  PCMech for the solution.

Q,  Why can't I see pictures in my Outlook Express mail?

A.  Outlook Express is blocking them somewhere. Look on Outlook Express Viewing for the answer.
