Ramblings

Sometimes I get nostalgic and just 'ramble on', about stuff or life in general. I have a couple of blogs for that kind of rambling on, but before I made my second blog using Word Press, I just ranted and rambled on Martha's Web.

Not too long ago I set a huge project for myself. I decided to scan my memories (photos) for over 50 years and keep them on my computer. For a while I just kept scanning and scanning, but after awhile it sorta got to be overwhelming.

It wasn't the actual scanning that was so bad; it was all of the memories attached to those boxes and albums full of photos.

I just get so melancholy seeing those photographs of loved ones no longer here. My mother, my father and countless others that have left the bounds of earth and only memories like my photos are left.

Then there are the photos that remind me I am not as young as I used to me. My hair was once dark and I was slender, not fat and grey as now.

I think I need a bit of fun before I go back to that photo scanning. One of the things I like to see is the snow falling on this photo of a snow scene in February. It was taken on Valentine's Day and is a picture of my then back yard in Arlington.
