How to Resize a Photo to Send Using Windows Mail
Today's digital cameras take beautiful pictures. They also take big pictures. If you want to print a photo, the detail is great and the photo is very nice.
But what if you want to send a photo or photos to someone? The total amount of bandwidth needed to send these photos can be huge and some ISPs may not even allow an email that big. For folks on dialup or basic DSL, it can take what seems like forever to send or download an email with several photos.
The answer is to 'resize' the photo or photos. By now most folks are wondering 'How do I do that?'
It is easy. After your photos are saved to your computer, just open the file where the photos are saved. Using Windows Photo Gallery in Vista, find the photo or photos you want to send. Highlight the photos to select and then click the email icon at the top of the Photo Gallery.
Your new message screen will open with the resized photos attached. Now all you need to do is enter the recipient's email address, a subject in the subject line, a message and press send.
How easy is that!
