Sending Pictures in Outlook Express


One of the nice things about email is the ability to send pictures to family and friends. Some folks have always just selected file attachment to send their pictures and then click Send.

 

A better way to send pictures is to insert the picture into the email. Some Outlook Express settings will no longer allow attachments for security reasons.

So here is a brief tutorial on how to insert a picture into an email.

 

Make sure your settings are correct.

Open Outlook Express and select 'Create Mail'.

Select your Send to: address and the subject for the picture.

Next make sure you have the right format for your email to accept the picture. It must be html or rich text.

Then click on the Insert option and select Picture.

Next find the picture you want to send, usually in the My Pictures folder.

Scroll to find the right picture and click 'Open'. When the the box comes up with the picture path, click OK.

Congratulations, you have inserted your picture and it is ready to send!
