Vista is the newest version of Windows. Outside of all the bells and whistles, being pretty cool and really nice to look at, where did Microsoft hide everything?
While things are not really hidden; some things are renamed and located in different places. I have just about located everything (I think), at least the things I need to use.
MSCONFIG is still in Vista. Run is a little harder to find, but it's still there. Just type 'Run' in the search box and it will show up at the top of the Programs box. After you make any changes in MSCONFIG, the next time you start Vista you get a funny little box in the System Tray. Just look at these screenshots to find how to stop that box from loading with Vista.
When viewing our files and folders, most of us have preferences as how to display them. Some of us want to see icons while others may want to see details. So how do you set the view to display your way? Check out the screenshots on the viewing files page.
Windows Mail is buggy. Download and install Windows Live Mail; use it instead. Windows Live Mail is also buggy, but when I installed it, it seemed to fix the bugs in Windows Mail. I don't use either of them, too many bugs!
