Web Editors

There are some very expensive web editors. Dreamweaver, about $400.

Also Expression Web2, not as much as Dreamweaver but still about $300.  I am using Expression Web and it works very well for me. Expression Web is the new Microsoft Web editor. FrontPage is still supported but there are no new versions of FrontPage.

These do an excellent job, but it will also depend on you as to how well it does. There are about a jillion template you can get to use in FrontPage or Expression Web. A lot of them are free and a lot more are very reasonable priced. You can also make your own templates or modify existing templates.  There are a lot of help sites and some Lists/Groups that offer help as well.

There are a number of free web editors available for download. Some are very good (so I'm told and some are just so so. This site, The freecountry has a list of a number of editors.

Personal Web Kit This editor seems to have it all. I haven't used it, but may just try it out. Looks as though it could be a winner!

'WebPlus is the amazing web design software that enables you to create stunning websites for your home, school or business - no experience required!' (At least that is what the site says!)

Then there is Notepad, which comes with every version of Windows. Using Notepad requires knowing how to code in HTML. There are a great many website that have been made with Notepad and most of them are very professional looking.
